In about 30 minutes, the 69th Annual Golden Globe Awards will air LIVE on NBC, once again hosted by comedian Ricky Gervais. This awards ceremony, run by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, honors achievements in both film and television. Once again, A Man and His Awards will be blogging while watching what Hollywood calls the "Party of the Year".

The 68th Golden Globe Awards: LIVE Real-Time Updates
In less than an hour from now, the 68th Annual Golden Globe Awards will air on NBC live from the Beverly Hills Hilton Hotel. The stars from television and movies will all be out tonight for what is billed as "the party of the year". Expect a lot of surprises, and as usual, lots of great fashion.
1st Update- 7:35PM: I have not turned the channel to the pregame show yet, as I am still watching football, as the New York Jets put the final nail in the New England Patriots coffin, taking a 27-14 lead right now with 1:46 left in the game. And now it's 28-14 Jets. (Courtesy of our brother blog, DJBC Sports Corner). (7:48PM) Jets win 28-21 and will play at Pittsburgh next Sunday night.

Golden Globes- The Final Countdown & Predix
The 68th Annual Golden Globe Awards will air on Sunday night on NBC, hosted by Ricky Gervais. Lots of stars from television and movies will show up for this annual "party of the year".

Yes, "The King's Speech" has the most nominations, and is probably a sure bet to win because this is an awards show run by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, a group of foreign journalists. However, "The Social Network" is too hard to be ignored. This movie has dominated critics' lists all across the country as one of the ten best films of 2010, and with a Globe win, will sit comfortably in the driver's seat on Oscar Sunday.

Yes, "The King's Speech" has the most nominations, and is probably a sure bet to win because this is an awards show run by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, a group of foreign journalists. However, "The Social Network" is too hard to be ignored. This movie has dominated critics' lists all across the country as one of the ten best films of 2010, and with a Globe win, will sit comfortably in the driver's seat on Oscar Sunday.
