The Grammy Nominations Concert Special

In just about a few minutes, the Grammy Nominations Concert Special will kick off on CBS, once again hosted by Grammy-winning rap star and actor LL Cool J. Only a handful of nominations will be announced, and there are changes from last year. The number of categories has gone down from 109 for last year's Grammys, to 78. Only ten categories will be announced on the night of the Grammycast on February 12.

10PM- Lady Gaga kicks off the Grammy Nominations Concert Special with "Gonna Marry the Night".

10:02PM- Lady Gaga is dressed as a ghoul in this number.

10:04PM- Nicki Minaj presents the nominees for Record of the Year.

10:06PM- The Nominees for Record of the Year are: Rolling in the Deep (Adele), Holocene (Bon Iver), Grenade (Bruno Mars), The Cave (Mumford and Sons), and Firework (Katy Perry)

10:06PM- "If you are a musician, you want to win Record of the Year"- Nicki Minaj

10:07PM- Rihanna performs via Satellite in London

10:10PM- Commercial Break

10:13PM- The Band Perry (two brothers, one sister) perform

10:18PM- Academy Award nominee Taraji P. Henson presents the Song of the Year nominees.

10:19PM- The nominees for Song of the Year are: "All of the Lights" (Kanye West, Rihanna, Kid Cudi, & Fergie), "The Cave" (Mumford and Sons), "Grenade" (Bruno Mars), "Holocene" (Bon Iver", and "Rolling in the Deep" (Adele)

10:20PM- Commercial Break

10:23PM- Jason Aldean performs live

10:27PM- Commercial Break

10:32PM- Bruno Mars is introducing the nominees for Best New Artist.

10:33PM- The nominees for Best New Artist are The Band Perry, Bon Iver, J. Cole, Nicki Minaj, and Skrillex.

10:34PM- Common, Lupe Fiasco, and Grandmaster Flash unite on the stage for a special performance.

10:38PM- Commercial Break

10:43PM- Usher performs a medley of songs (in a tribute to Jerry Leiber and Nick Ashford, who both died this year). Up first Usher (accompanied by Valerie Simpson and Mike Stoller) with "You're All I Need to Get By" (Ashford and Simpson wrote this song in 1968 for Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell); then Usher with "Stand by Me" (made famous by Ben E. King 50 years ago back in 1961, and was also part of the Leiber and Stoller Broadway anthology "Smokey Joe's Cafe")

10:49PM- Commercial Break

10:51PM- Katy Perry presents the nominees for Album of the Year. This is the biggest category at the Grammys, as this is the final award of the Grammy awards telecast. The nominees are "21" (Adele), "Wasting Light" (Foo Fighters), "Born This Way" (Lady Gaga), "Doo Woops & Hooligans" (Bruno Mars), and "Loud" (Rihanna).

10:54PM- Lady Gaga and Sugarland cap off the concert special with a performance.
