The (Primetime) Drama Pre-Nominations for the 13th Annual Bryan Awards
The 2012-13 season saw the arrival of a few breakout dramas: The Americans, F/X's drama about a pair of KGB Agents posing as married travel agents in the early 1980s; The Newsroom, HBO's drama about a cable network news program; House of Cards, Netflix's show about a Congressman's failed bid for a Cabinet Position; Elementary, CBS's American-ized version of Sherlock Holmes; and Nashville, ABC's drama about country music singers. It would not be surprising to see all five of them duke it out in the New Series race, when the nominees are announced LIVE on "The DJBC Happy Hour" on July 8, but in the drama races, all five of those shows will have to compete against returning favorites such as Game of Thrones, Mad Men, Homeland, and Downton Abbey.
